Christopher Tillery

Senior Frontend Web Apps Developer at NVIDIA

I work on Kaizen UI at NVIDIA, the company’s design system. I like making interfaces fast, accessible and easy for both people and AI agents to build with.

I’ve built design systems since my first job, and AI has been part of my work since my grad school research. Previously, I worked at Catalyst Software and LendingTree.

History

  1. B.S. Computer Science

    AI research

Trained deep learning models to predict personality from sparse social media data.

M.S. Computer Science and Software Engineering

  2. LendingTree2020 – 2021

    Software Engineer II

Pushed for brand consistency across a multi-team micro-frontend platform and built the brand and style guide platform every team built with.

  3. Catalyst Software2021 – 2022

    Now part of Totango

    Frontend Engineer, UI/UX

Shipped product features, then joined the design system team: built a new component library and rebuilt the company’s core product on it, every page of a Vue app spanning hundreds of thousands of lines.

    Frontend Engineer, Data

Shifted to the same app’s data layer: generated a typesafe API layer from OpenAPI, then migrated the app to TypeScript end to end.

  4. NVIDIA2022 – now

Frontend Web Apps Developer, Core Services

Built and improved the foundations of NGC, NVIDIA’s hub for GPU-optimized AI software: permissions and role-based access, app shells, tooling, CI/CD and end-to-end testing.

Senior Frontend Web Apps Developer, Core Services

In parallel, drove AI Workbench’s adoption of Kaizen UI and built many of its most complex features. AI Workbench is NVIDIA’s desktop app for AI development on local and remote GPUs.

Senior Frontend Web Apps Developer, Kaizen UI

Part of a small team building NVIDIA’s design system, which powers 485+ NVIDIA products. I focus on making it fast, accessible and ready for AI agents.
